Enough waiting?

As many of you know Batman V Superman comes out in just one week! While many are understandably excited, I’ve noticed there are more than a few people ready to just move on. When something gets the green light to be made it seems like within 2 weeks someone has leaked the news and everyone is abuzz about it. The problem is that the movie or product isn’t going to be anywhere near available for 2+ years. While I do believe that patience is a virtue and some anticipation can sweeten the experience, at what point are you just being mercilessly teased? I do not do well waiting. I spend all year not thinking about Christmas or my birthday because the desire will make the wait less bearable. But with media these days how can you avoid the constant commercial advertising being crammed down your throat? I’m not hating on this movie, I still want to see it. But a little less teasing would be nice.

Finally the official trailer for World of Warcraft has come out today! As a familiar license we are wishing good things for this film. I haven’t played the game itself but I hear that the movie plot is supposed to mesh fairly well with the in-game story. Here’s hoping for another fantasy epic to celebrate! What are your personal thoughts on the film? Excited? See the trailer here.

Star Wars Everywhere!

Star Wars is taking over everything! We’ll admit it’s kinda gotten us too…it’s just so popular now. But have you heard it even shutting down attractions in Disney! That’s right! Everything in the Big Thunder Ranch section will be closed permanently and put to new purpose! It really isn’t surprising, out with the old and in with the new kinda thing. But are we getting close to too much hype? Unobtainable expectations for the new movie? Here’s hoping not.

Bad week for Batman fans.

This week has not been so easy going on those who associate with the dark knight. It’s with a heavy heart that I deliver the news that both Lenny Robinson and Yvonne Craig passed this week. Yvonne Craig was the first to play Batgirl on screen and also had a stunning green alien role on Star Trek. Yvonne passed after a lengthy battle with cancer. Lenny Robinson was a charitable man who invested a large amount of money into a Batmobile and Batman costume so he could bring joy to children in hospitals. Mr. Robinson was tragically killed in a auto accident. It’s sad to lose 2 superheroes in one week.
